The landscape photographs are available for purchase in limited editions and a choice of frames. The clarity the images possess brings the serene reality of landscape into your own home or office. Each limited edition photographic image is individually unique in composition, with the image collection having a diverse selection of scenes, locations and subject matter, all created as a result of lifelong passion and strong artistic experience. Always on the lookout for dramatic lighting and unusual original natural interactions, from the remote and steep dark slopes of Fiordland to the vast photogenic beaches of Northland, artist and photographer Bruce Mortimer brings these personal experiences to life in these vivid and crisply sharp large format photographs with international gallery quality presentation. His use of the vertical panoramic format is unusual and particularly effective.

Although Mortimer has always considered photography to be a worthy artform in itself, his own creative desire for challenge and expression led him (after many years of part time painting) in 2008 to become a professional landscape painter alongside his photography (which he had created professionally since 1995). His painting style is currently evolving from representative photorealism to semi-abstract landscapes and loose realism, with pockets of photorealism within his larger panoramic paintings. A few of his fine art painting works are displayed in the gallery pages here, although the main emphasis of the website remains the landscape photography.

The photographs are displayed in categories based on the landscapes in which the editions were photographed, and represent a prime selection from throughout New Zealand, from Cape Reinga in the north to the remote inlets of southern Stewart Island. The photographs and the paintings may be purchased directly from the artist, and we are able to ship the landscapes worldwide.
